You get a rather simple interface that is very easy to navigate, even for beginners. Piano One is a great choice and it actually uses an extremely popular piano, the Yamaha C7 Concert Grand.

It sounds professional whereas other free options may sound cheap just due to the budget put in. Spindle gives you that dampened piano sound that could work exceptionally well for film scores and certain types of pop music. If you’re a fan of those types of pianos that pull at the heart-strings, give this a spin. This option is in the same realm as my top choice above. You will need to have a reasonably fast computer in order to use the SINEplayer, but this will be the case with any music software. There’s not much to dislike with the Claustrophobic piano. It’s free, sounds beautiful, and is really great for all different types of music production. If you are in search of a quick, yet fantastic option, this is exactly what you need. If you are a fan of darker soft pianos like I am, this is your pick.
